34 weeks, 5 days!!

Yep, we're just about down to 5 weeks left of this pregnancy! Things are progressing nicely and my belly definitely continues to expand. Madelyn is still breech but she's got a couple of weeks left to flip. If she hasn't flipped by week 37 then they'll likely schedule us for a c-section right at week 39. Either way, not much longer!!!

Idyllwild Get-Away!

Over fourth of July weekend, we headed up to Idyllwild, CA with some Navy friends of ours for a last minute get-away. It was about a 2 1/2 hour trip but well worth it and absolutely beautiful!! We all met at the store and loaded up on groceries then hit the road. We got there on a Saturday evening and stayed through Monday. We played lots of board games, prepared lots of yummy meals (homemade pizzas being one of them), hiked (yep, even at 8 months pregnant I joined in on the hike :), shopped, listened to live music, and just enjoyed the company of our friends. Our furnished cabin was nestled in the woods but yet close to the little town of Idyllwild, it was perfect! Here are some pictures from our weekend in Idyllwild - enjoy!

Nancy, we took this picture for you - David next to some Manzanita :)

Feeling Crafty!

This past week, David was underway for the first time since the ship came out of "the yards" (aka...months of repair). While he was gone, I decided to get a little crafty and made my first cloth nursery rhyme book and burp cloths out of cloth diapers. I have to say, both projects were super easy and I'm already looking forward to doing more! I've read (and heard) that cloth diapers make the best burp cloths so I thought, why not spruce them up a bit :)

We're really starting to count down the weeks till little Madelyn makes her arrival! As of today, we are 33 weeks and 1 day pregnant which means just 6 weeks and 6 days (or 48 days...but who is counting?) left! It's crazy to think we're getting so close and I must say the time continues to go fairly fast which I'm very grateful for.

Check out the burp cloths and see what you think - more belly pics to come soon!!
