Thanksgiving 2012

For Thanksgiving this year, we joined our amazing landlord family once again for a yummy feast! This is the second year we have joined them for turkey day and it is always soooo delicious. Lillian and Jerry fixed two turkeys, one ham, stuffing, homemade rolls, cranberries and my favorite: homemade chicken and noodles!!!! We brought a green bean casserole, corn casserole and a pumpkin pie (to add to the cherry, apple, pumpkin and pecan already there). Man, just typing this makes me feel full all over again but we thoroughly enjoyed celebrating Thanksgiving with the Harveys and are thankful they invited us over. Happy Cow for Halloween!

We celebrated Halloween a few days early by going to Seaport Village's Halloween Bash this past Saturday.  All of the stores were open and passing out candy, restaurants were hoppin' and costumes were everywhere!  We saw a ladybug, the little mermaid, pirates and candy corn princesses but none were as adorable as our little Mads sporting her cow cstoume!!  She got many "ooooh's" and "ahhhhh's" and brought a smile to everyone she passed.  Take a look at the pictures and I bet you'll agree that you've never seen a cuter cow than she!

Pumpkin Patch

Last weekend we met up with some friends, the Albrechts and the Holmeses, at a pumpkin patch in Del Mar. It's a good thing we decided to meet up around 10am because it warmed up in no time and before we knew it, we were all on meltdown and in need of some lunch. After taking some pictures, picking out the perfect mini pumpkins and riding a few rides, we headed up the coast and found a little cafe that overlooked the ocean - a perfect way to wrap up our day.

Photo Shoot

I asked David a couple of weeks ago to teach me how to use his fancy-shmancy camera...1 year olds sure move fast and our little point and shoots have a hard time keeping up with her! I have a better understanding as to how much work goes into being a photographer and have so much to learn but I am looking forward to many more lessons from my handsome hubby!!
