House Pics: Part I

Hello again! I know some people are curious as to what the inside of our new house looks like so I wanted to post a few pics of what we have done so far! I will post pics of the rest of the house as soon as it's unpacked and organized :)

Today after David got off work, we went out patio furniture shopping. We began feeling a little defeated but I think by tomorrow we'll be proud new owners of some new furniture if it all works out!! I'll post pics of that too :)

BHR Family Cruise Day!

This past Friday, I got to experience what it's like to be onboard the USS Bonhomme Richard! We all boarded BHR around 8:30am and went out to sea for an entire day. The day was full of food, flight demonstrations, and sight seeing! It was a very enjoyable day, especially since I got to spend it with David! Here are some pics and a video from the day :)

San Diego Zoo!

David and I spent our first Saturday together in San Diego by going to the zoo, it was a little overcast which made it a perfect day for it!! After we exhausted ourselves at the zoo, we headed home to unpack a few more boxes then ate dinner at Lolita's Taco Shop...mmmm! We ended the night by relaxing in the hot tub, man we love this place! Best Lamp Shades EVER!

Tuesday night Kerri and I went to Crouthers' house to make lamp shades...it is something we had been meaning to do for a loooong time. In preparation for our lamp shade making frenzy, many hours/days of magazine clipping had to occur but it was well worth it wouldn't you agree? I think we could go into business :) I can't wait to find just the right place for it in our new house!!

Day one of packing down, one more to go!

Well today was my first experience with a military move! The packers showed up bright and early this morning and got right to work...for just three of them they sure pack fast! They have to come back tomorrow to finish up but it shouldn't take but a couple of hours. I have to admit it's pretty nice that they do it all :) Looks like the driver will be here Thursday morning with a crew of people to load all of the boxes and then it's off they go to San Diego! In the meantime, I'll be at the house livin' it up "David style." I'll soon be experiencing the living arrangements he has dealt with for the past four and a half weeks in San Diego...air mattress for a bed, plasticware, no tv, etc...good thing I've got graduate work to keep me busy! Speaking of graduate work...my LAST graduate class is this weekend. Yep, after Saturday no more graduate classes for me!! I'm not going to know what to do with myself when I come home from work and don't have homework to do :)

David started EKNS school this Monday, looks like it's a two week course. Mom and I are set to head out on our road trip to San Diego bright and early June 13th, I can't wait!!
