Hamilton's Visit to San Diego!

This past weekend Kimberly and Jeremy came to visit San Diego for the very first time!  They were only able to stay for a couple of days so we made sure to cram as much into a day as possible and wear them completely out :0)  They landed late Thursday night then we were up and at it early Friday morning!  We first took them to The Mission for breakfast...you can see by the photo that we had an amazing meal and were quite miserable for hours afterwards.  After breakfast we headed to Pacific Beach!  David and Jeremy decided to dip their toes in the water but quickly decided it was way too cold to stay in...Kimberly and I had fun taking photos from the warm sand.  Next on the agenda was Seaport Village then we headed to pick up Mads from daycare.  That evening we took them out to an area known as Old Town and had some amazing margaritas and Mexican food...again, we were miserably full by the time it was all said and done.  We took our miserable selves across the Coronado bridge so they could see a bit of the island.  David also used his new camera he recently got for his birthday to take some photos with downtown San Diego as our backdrop - so neat!
For day two we headed to the San Diego Zoo - this was Madelyn's first time there so we were very excited to go!  We met up with our friends the Albrechts as well which was great, Madelyn was able to see one of her besties, Alyssa.  After the zoo we headed home to get showered and ready for our dinner cruise that evening.  The dinner cruise was a great success where we (of course) ate more yummy food...that's basically all we did was eat.  The best part about the cruise, other than the company, was seeing dolphins in the ocean!!  We decided to go up top during the cruise and we saw at least a dozen dolphins playing around in the water - one of the neatest things I have ever seen.  We attempted to go downtown San Diego to finish off their last evening here but there was zero parking places and some kind of run going on down there so we quickly decided that it was a bad decision and headed home to relieve the babysitter.
We really had a fantastic time with them here, just wish they could have stayed longer!  Also while they were here, we created what we're sure will become the next new dance craze...we like to call it the, "San Diego Jolt."  Madelyn must be given credit for the moves, we just gave those moves a name.  It's quite simple really.  Whenever you hear music, you nod your head and shrug your shoulders at the same time...you also get your left arm moving up and down while shrugging...and it helps to hold your mouth open just a tad while doing it.  Just wait people, this new dance move is going to become a world-wide sensation in no time!

Nope, it's not dead...just sleeping, promise.

One of her favorite places to be.

The beer was a nice touch :0)
