Hard Work Pays Off On Birthday!

Hey all! Yesterday was a day of celebration for David; not only did he turn 29 but he received a Navy Achievement Award for the hard work he dedicated to the vault. He was completely surprised when the CO called everyone to attention in the wardroom while he presented David with his award. Luckily, someone was able to snap a picture of this awesome event! Doesn't he look great? We're just down to weeks now and I couldn't be more excited to get him home! Not much longer until we'll be seeing many of you :)

It's Almost That Time!!!

Yep, David should be home sometime mid-April and I could not be more excited!! We're down to just weeks now and one of the big tasks is making the lei that will adorn the ship as she pulls in to the pier on homecoming day. This bad boy took us four hours to put together but it turned out awesome! Luckily, the weather cooperated and we were able to make this on the lawn of one of our fellow spouses. Rest and Relaxation Time in Malaysia!

After 127 days straight at sea, the guys and gals of BHR finally got a much needed port visit! David and another officer rented a room at a super nice hotel...as did about half the ship :) They did a little swimming, sight seeing, shopping, and celebrating the fact they were on land. My favorite part about the port visit was getting to see him via Skype!! Words can't explain how great it was to see his handsome face and hear his voice! Here are some pictures from our Skype conversations. Not much longer till I can see him in person!!! Hope everyone is doing wonderfully! Can't wait to see everyone soon :)
