I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas and of course a Happy New Year! Going back home to visit friends a family was great (even if there was TONS of snow while I was there). The nice thing about that was returning to the sunny San Diego weather! I was able to talk to David on Christmas day which was wonderful! He sounded great and said all is going well. He was able to have Christmas dinner and open several Christmas care packages which he fully enjoyed. He's staying busy studying, getting some quals taken care of, conning a few hours a day, and standing lots of watch. We're on the downhill slide of this deployment and I can't wait to have him home!! Below is a recent picture of him with some fellow officers after their Christmas dinner...he sent me this picture with the following comment, "I'm the one on the far right, in case you have forgotten what I look like." He's so funny!! I've also included a picture of the snow/view from my mom and Wayne's house, Harold and Nancy with their new service flag, and myself with mom and Wayne before heading out to ring in the new year! Enjoy :)
